There are a number of options open for patients on long-term medication to re-order repeat prescriptions:
- On-line using My Health On-line at http://www.myhealthonline-emisweb.wales.nhs.uk Please enquire at reception for further details
- In person - clearly mark the items required on the tear-off part of your prescription and drop it in to the surgery, or into our external letterbox when we're closed.
- By post - send it to us with stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Via local pharmacy collection service - please discuss with your local pharmacy as they may be able to help
- By fax - 01824 709495
Whichever way you request your repeat prescription, you need to allow three working days for it to be processed, if your prescription is handed in after 13:00 it won't be counted as a working day. So please don’t let your medicines run out before you ask for more.
Please note as from 22.01.18 Dispensary will only be taking telephone enquiries between the hours of 14-17:00pm.
Patients who live over one mile from the surgery may have their prescriptions dispensed at this surgery and should register as dispensing patients. We operate a weekly delivery service to the outlying villages of Llanarmon and Eryrys. Patients wishing to use the service should tell dispensary staff each time they order their prescription. For patients who live in and around Llandegla, the Llandegla Community Shop operate a delivery and collection service. Please contact them if you would like further information on this service.
Please can we remind patients that it is their responsibility to check that repeat prescriptions have been issued as requested. If a patient asks another person or pharmacy to collect their prescription from the surgery, this is still the patient's responsibility.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow 72 WORKING hours for prescriptions to be processed, any prescriptions handed in after 1pm will not count as a working day. Please remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
