Emergency Appointments

In the event of sudden onset of your illness, you can be treated as an emergency patient by phoning the surgery between 8.30 am and 10.30 am and asking to see the on call doctor. This is an emergency service and you must be prepared to wait to be seen, you will be given a time by the receptionist as to when you should come down to the surgery. The on call doctor is worked on a rota basis so you may not see a doctor of your choice.

Do you need an emergency appointment?

It will help considerably if you can observe the following when seeking an appointment as an emergency:

Non-urgent conditions
On-going stable conditions
Repeat prescriptions
Sickness certificate requests
Routine test requests
